Connect NetSuite to Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot
NetSuite is Oracle's cloud ERP for the general ledger, order to cash, procure to pay, inventory and revenue recognition. OneWorld accounts run many subsidiaries with their own currencies, and every record carries segments such as department, class and location.
Nexatron's hosted MCP server is listed in Claude's connector directory. ChatGPT and Microsoft 365 Copilot add the same server as a custom MCP connector. Connect NetSuite to your Nexatron workspace once, then ask from whichever assistant you use.
What you can ask
- What is open AR by aging bucket for each subsidiary, in the subsidiary's base currency?
- How did recognised revenue by class compare with invoiced amounts last quarter?
- Which credit memos over 5,000 were applied this month, and to which invoices?
- Which accounting periods are still open for any subsidiary, and what posted to them after the planned close date?
- Which vendor bills are pending approval, and what is their total by approver?
- What is consolidated operating expense by department for the year to date at consolidated rates?
Questions read transaction and transactionLine, transactionAccountingLine, account and accountingPeriod,
subsidiary and currency, and customer, vendor and item, over SuiteQL. Answers state whether amounts are
in transaction currency, subsidiary base currency or consolidated at NetSuite's consolidated exchange rates, and
which period's rate applied.
Prerequisites
- A Nexatron workspace admin.
- A NetSuite account with REST web services enabled (Setup ▸ Company ▸ Enable Features ▸ SuiteCloud).
- A NetSuite login and role for each person who asks questions.
Admin setup
Nexatron reads NetSuite through its REST web services, including the SuiteQL query endpoint, with OAuth 2.0 authorization code. Every token is tied to a NetSuite user and role. The connection's redirect URL includes its id, so save the connection first.
- In Nexatron, go to Knowledge ▸ Sources ▸ New connection and choose NetSuite. Enter your NetSuite account ID (the realm, for example
1234567, or1234567_SB1for a sandbox), and save. - Copy the redirect URL from the connection's page.
- In NetSuite, create an OAuth 2.0 integration record (Setup ▸ Integration ▸ Manage Integrations ▸ New) with Public Client and PKCE enabled, and that redirect URL. With PKCE there is no client secret.
- Edit the connection, paste the integration record's client ID (consumer key), and save.
- Choose who can use the connection.
How each person signs in
Each person connects their own NetSuite login from the connection's page or under Knowledge ▸ Sources ▸ Your sign-ins and chooses a role. Queries then run as that user and role over SuiteQL.
First question to try
After you add Nexatron in Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot, ask:
What is open AR by aging bucket for each subsidiary, in the subsidiary's base currency?
The answer shows the SuiteQL behind it.
Permissions and masking
The role a person signs in with decides what an answer is computed from: its permissions, its subsidiary restrictions, and any department, class or location restrictions.
Nexatron's own rules under Settings ▸ Workspace ▸ Access (Access) apply on top and never widen what NetSuite allows.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause and fix |
|---|---|
| Nexatron asks you to connect first | You have not connected your NetSuite login under Your sign-ins. |
| Totals are lower than a saved search shows | The role you signed in with may be restricted by subsidiary, department, class or location. Sign in with the role you use for that search. |
