Dashboards
Dashboards holds boards of answers you check often: charts, KPIs and tables, kept fresh. Each tile from the answer core re-runs as the person reading the dashboard, so everyone sees the numbers their own access allows.
What you see
The list shows every dashboard you can open, with All, Live, Stale and Embedded views. A badge says whether a dashboard is Live, Snapshot (with when it was last refreshed), or partly live. Select Open to open one, or New dashboard to create an empty one. Subscriptions lists the dashboard tabs delivered to you.
On a tile from the answer core:
- Verified / Not verified is the same independent check as in Ask.
- Ran as you means the tile ran with your own access to the data. Not connected for you means you have not signed in to its source: see Your sign-ins.
Add an answer to a dashboard
- Under an answer in Ask, select Add to dashboard.
- Choose the Dashboard, or Create new dashboard and name it.
- Give the Widget title and pick a Widget shape: Chart, KPI, Trend or Hero.
- Select Add widget.
Adding, scheduling and sharing need report-edit access. Without it, Nexatron tells you to ask a workspace admin.
Schedule
Schedule (under an answer, or in a tile's menu) sets up a recurring run. Under What should happen, choose:
- Email it to people: refreshes the answer and emails it to the recipients you list under Recipients (comma-separated emails).
- Just keep it current (no email): re-runs the answer on the schedule and updates the numbers. Nobody is emailed.
Pick the Frequency (Daily, Weekly on Mondays, or Monthly on the 1st) and the Time, which uses the timezone in your preferences. Select Save Schedule. A scheduled run uses your access to the data. Saving again replaces the schedule; Remove Schedule stops it.
To follow a dashboard tab yourself, select Subscribe on the dashboard. Each delivery re-checks your current access, row policies and masking, and the email includes the tab as a PDF. Test now sends one right away.
Share with people
Share with people opens Manage access. Under Who can find this answer, choose:
- Only people I share it with: nobody else in the workspace can find or open it, even by link.
- Everyone in the workspace: anyone signed in to this workspace can find and open it.
Then, under Add a person or role, find a person or role, choose Can view, Can edit or Can manage, and select Grant access. Sharing gives access to the answer, not to the data: each person still sees only the rows their own access allows.
Share a link
Share a link opens Share this answer and creates a link anyone can open, without signing in. Before you create it, the dialog shows exactly how many rows and columns you are sharing, and warns when columns look like personal data. Optionally tick Require a password to view this share. Select Create link & copy.
A shared link shows the data as saved, not as each viewer's access would. Share a link only with people allowed to see that data. Active links lists every link; Revoke stops one working for everyone.
