Using Nexatron

Nexatron answers questions about your business data in your own words. This part of the guide follows the app's menu, one page per area. Workspace admins also have the Administration pages.

The menu

The menu on the left lists, from top to bottom:

ItemWhat it is for
SearchFind a page, metric, dashboard or conversation. Opens the same search as ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows).
AskAsk a question and get a governed answer. See Ask.
DashboardsAnswers you pinned, kept fresh, shared and scheduled. See Dashboards.
InsightsWhat changed in your metrics, and the monitors that watch them. See Insights and Monitors. Shown to admins, analysts and executives.
KnowledgeWhat your business means: sources, business objects, metrics, glossary, review and evals. See Knowledge.
ConversationsYour three latest conversations. View all opens the whole history.

Settings opens from the account menu at the bottom of the menu (select your name). It holds your own settings and, for admins, the workspace's. The same menu has Sign out.

How answers stay governed

Three rules hold everywhere in the app:

  • Each question runs as you. Nexatron reads your data with your own sign-in to each source, so the source's own rules apply: your Snowflake roles, row access and masking policies, and your Salesforce sharing. Two people asking the same question can see different numbers, and that is intended. There is no "view as": nobody, admins included, can ask as someone else.
  • Every answer carries a trust label that says how far you can rely on it, and shows its evidence. See Ask.
  • Nexatron declines rather than guesses. When a question needs data you cannot see, a definition nobody has agreed, or a source you have not signed in to, it says so and what to do next.

Your workspace's sign-in policy also applies to you: if your admin requires two-step verification you are asked to set it up the next time you sign in, and if they set a session limit you sign in again when it runs out. See Security.

Where to start

  1. Sign in to the sources your workspace uses (Nexatron asks you the first time a question needs one; you can also do it under Your sign-ins).
  2. Ask a question in Ask.
  3. Pin the answers you check often to a dashboard.
