Setup
Setup is a workspace admin's home until the workspace can answer questions. It is a checklist in three lists, and Nexatron ticks each step from the workspace's real state: nothing is ticked by hand. Open it from Settings ▸ Workspace ▸ Setup, or from the Finish setup card at the bottom of the menu, which says how many steps are done and which is next. Both disappear once the workspace is ready.
Until the first list is done, people who sign in see that their admin is still setting up.
1. Get to your first trusted answer
| Step | What to do |
|---|---|
| Nexatron's answer service is running | Nothing, if it is ticked. If not, select Check again in a moment. |
| Connect Snowflake | Add the Snowflake connection under Sources. Its setup identity is a key-pair service user that reads metadata and never answers anyone's question. Your Snowflake admin's side is in Connect Snowflake. |
| Decide who can use it | Select Choose access and set Who can use it. |
| Sign in yourself | Connect your own Snowflake login on the connection's page, so your questions run as you. |
| Ask a question as yourself | Select Ask a question, then check the answer's trust label and who it ran as. This is your first trusted answer. |
2. Bring in your team
This list unlocks when your first trusted answer works.
| Step | What to do |
|---|---|
| Connect Salesforce | Add the Salesforce connection. Everyone signs in with their own Salesforce login, so Salesforce's sharing rules decide what they see. |
| Sign in to Salesforce yourself | Your Salesforce questions use your own login. |
| Approve the definitions people rely on | Select Review definitions and approve them on Metrics. Approved definitions answer the same way for everyone. |
| Invite your team | Select Invite people and give each person a role on Members. Their data access still comes from the source. |
3. Govern
Optional, and worth doing before you invite widely:
- Review access rules: row rules and column masking for sources that do not run as each person. See Access.
- Set how people sign in: two-step verification, the session limit, network address ranges and the encryption key. See Security.
- Decide on memory: whether Nexatron may remember preferences and facts for people. See AI.
When it is done
The page reads Ready once people who sign in can ask questions. Select Check again to re-check after you change something elsewhere.
Admins who only configure the workspace can choose a menu with only Settings and Knowledge in Preferences.
